Announcing My Allergy Campaign

Hello all!

I am happy to announce that starting this year, I will be launching my Allergy Advocacy campaign in San Antonio!

Throughout the year, I will be visiting a variety of community centers, schools, and restaurants to get the message I talk about here on the blog into my community in San Antonio! As of 2022, the Allergy and Asthma Foundation of America (AAFA) reported that San Antonio was ranked 5th among the top 10 worst places to live for people with severe allergies, and prevalence has been increasing since that report came out both in the incidence of food allergies as well as environmental allergies. My goal is to advocate and educate about both!

Using my personal experiences as a patient who has been diagnosed with allergies from birth, an official Advocate for FARE who is constantly exposed to the updates in federal level policy and research, as well as a student who has shadowed clinicians implementing cutting edge solutions to the problems patients with allergies face in San Antonio, I am eager to share my insights here in my hometown!
